Build Notes
These are write-ups of projects I have actually built, not tutorial rehashes. Each one covers the decisions that mattered, the bugs that took the longest to find, and what I would do differently with hindsight.
The goal is the same as the rest of this journal: explain how something works underneath the surface, and capture the reasoning a senior engineer applies when the obvious answer stops working.
- FoxPilot: a profile-driven job discovery engine — why a hardcoded relevance filter was wrong, how a “two sources of truth” data mismatch cost a debugging session, and how to keep LLM calls from becoming your latency bottleneck.
